Course Information

Welcome to this project on the history of British Literature. During this project we will be delving into the literary history of Britain, learning about the main authors, the characteristics of the various literary periods and the historical events that shaped that time. The literary periods we will be exploring are:

 

• The Middle Ages

• The 16th to 18th century

• The Romantic period

• The Victorian era

 

In order to go to the pages on the different literary periods, place your mouse on the button 'Literary Periods' in the menu at the top of the page, you will see a drop down menu which will take you to the various pages. On the left hand side of this page you will see a button for the weekly schedule. It is important to study this carefully to know which assignments need to be done before class, make sure you complete the assignments and where necessary view the weblectures at home. For information on how you will be tested, see the button on 'Tests and Rubrics' again on the left hand side of the page.
